Loligo
Loligo is a genus of squid and one of the most representative and widely distributed groups of myopsid squid.
All three species of Loligo are caught by commercial fisheries, most abundantly by traditional trawling methods (mobile gear).
Loligo is mostly used for human consumption and very popular for its tender texture. It could be prepared in various ways, baked, fried, dried, smoked, or fresh.
